Turn to the Wilson Golf electric auto-putting mat, a professional-style, 8-foot mat that simulates an actual putting green. The mat is made of artificial turf that behaves like real turf, with a regulation-sized hole sitting at the edge of the green. Even better, the mat offers an electric ball return that sends your ball back after each made putt. As a result, you'll spend more time working on your stroke and less time chasing balls. Made of durable, molded plastic that's appropriate for both indoor and outdoor use, the auto-putting tray measures 16 by 24 inches, while the carpet itself measures 1 by 8 feet. Works with a bit of effortFeb 18, 2007 This is basically a good product, but the auto-return mechanism was badly engineered. The problem is that the golf ball usually has too much speed when it passes by the mechanism. so by the time the auto-return has triggered it clips the ball instead of wacking it. I solved this by screwing a screw into either side of the mechanism; the ball hits these screws and slows down and the ball is wacked back to the end of the mat. This exposed another problem; the auto-return mechanism would recoil and the ball was not wacked hard enough. I solved this by glueing the mechanism to the plastic frame it was sitting in. The resulting product works very well, and is fun to play with. Except .... if you hit the ball too hard, it can go over the top of the ball return shute and you have to fetch it.
