The driver is distinguished by the company's SuperFast technology, which reduces the total club weight to 299 grams from an average of 320, thereby promoting a faster swing speed and more drive-crushing distance. By building a driver that players can swing faster--and that delivers a higher average ball speed on mis-hits--TaylorMade has increased a player's distance significantly from shot to shot, making it more fun than ever to bomb it off the tee. The driver's advanced bullet-shaped clubhead, meanwhile, incorporates a far-back CG location to launch the ball high and super deep. Although the bullet shape looks sleek and slippery, the actual aerodynamics don't affect clubhead speed. However, because the Burner looks fast, golfers gain the confidence to believe that they can, in fact, build faster clubhead speed during the swing. Add in Fujikura's SuperFast RE*AX 50-gram shaft--which is exceptionally lightweight and stable to promote greater distance and accuracy--and you have an ideal driver for virtually any course. The Burner's combination of a large head, sleek shape, longer length, and lighter swing weight work together to make this the fastest driver TaylorMade has ever created in terms of potential clubhead speed and ball speed. Other details include TaylorMade's inverted Cone Technology, which produces a highly effective Moment of Inertia (MOI) that exceeds 5,800 yet still conforms to USGA standards; a massive 460cc clubhead; an extra-sturdy titanium body and face construction; and a 46-inch club length. Big drivesOct 14, 2008 I always believed that the complaint about the "bad equipment" was just a bad golfer making excuses. With this driver, I am a believer. I have easily added 30 yards to my drives. It is a great confidence builder.
Solid, quiet driverSep 27, 2008 This is a very "quiet" driver in a couple ways. First, it emits very little sound on contact, unlike the various "Pinging" and tin can sounds of other drivers (such as the Nike Sumo). It sounds solid.
A good hit sends so little vibration to the handle that you are barely able to tell a ball was there. This is true of many drivers of course, but not to this degree.
This club has an understated look, going with the overall theme of performance over flash. There is NO neon yellow on this driver (unlike the Nike Sumo junk)!

Taylor Made Burner 460 TiSep 19, 2008 This is amongst the easiest drivers to hit that I have ever had. If this driver has an Achilles heel, it's that you shouldn't over swing with it. Swing easy and through and this driver will take you down the center of the fairway. It plays accurately; i.e., if you purchase a 9.5 degree, it will give you the corresponding trajectory. Nice club for the mid to low handicap golfer.

Taylor Burner iDriverMay 14, 2008 Although expensive, the Taylor Burner 460 Ti has improved my drives significantly and is well worth it.

Great DriverMar 01, 2008 I love this driver. I hit the ball straighter, about 20 yards farther, and best of all my back doesn't hurt as bad after a game. This is because the club swings itself...it has a very friendly weight distribution and sends the ball soaring. I got the 9.5 with the stiff shaft.
