2Lacks documenationAug 04, 2008
I received the product in a simple box with no instruction manual. The product looks as indicated in the picture. The adjustable weight is really two weights: the metal knob pictured unscrews from the larger metal cylinder, and the metal cylinder can be unscrewed. There is no indication how heavy each weight is.

The grip-aid seems accurate, but I'm not sure how useful that would be on a typical golf club that does not have contours for grip placement.

There is no indication on the box how many times a day I should use the trainer.

Amazon's product description page promises more features and capabilities from the tool than the box lists. I'm not sure how this tool is supposed to improve tempo and timing or the release.

End result, since I'm not clear on how to use the product or how it helps me then I'm not motivated to use it. Better to avoid this product and find a swing trainer with better instructions.

4Good product, does the job well.Jun 08, 2006
This is like the overpriced "Momentus" for the fraction of cost. The theory is the same - developping swing with heavier club. It has the guided grip as well.

The difference is that this item does not look like the actual golf club like Momentus does. It is much shorter and does not have the club head (instead it has an adjustable weight). This is the tricky part for some people - you have to be aware of the direction club face might be facing. The shaft is bent at one point, so it is not difficult to keep tracking of it, but it is not as obvious as Momentus and its actual club head. This might be the reason one of the reviewer got hooking habit - he ust have been practicing with the club head closed too much. But again, it is rather easy to avoid it, if you are careful.

Since it is much shorter, you can use this in most indoor places. You will not hurt the floor either. This is a very good product, and it serves its purpose very well.

I must have practiced incorrectly. Since using this trainer, I have been hooking the ball badly. I have no explanation why.
