Mediocre and not systematicSep 10, 2008 This book is comprised of tips from the top instructors in the country. However, this is a more of an annual for the Golf Magazine by reproducing the 'tips' that were published from the prior year. The title does not live up to its hyper or its name.
It is organized well and the short bullet format and clear illustrations are good.
However, this is not a system upon which you should base your learning. Different 'tips' may not work for a particular style of swing.
If you are one who learns from 'tips' AND you don't subscribe to the magazine, get this book.
If you want to learn something from scratch or are a routine/average hacker, stay away. You should adopt any one of the dozens of 'systems of instruction' and stick with one.
The following is a book of a similar genre covering tips to play better, not a system.
Breaking 100, 90, 80: Taking Your Game to the Next Level with the Best Teachers in Golf
VERDICT:
For most golfers, I do not recommend this book.

Golf: The BEst Insrtuction Book EverJul 23, 2008 Good book. Illustrates lots of techniques and tips. Still, it's always better to take lessons with a pro. Enjoyed the DVD extra.

the best instruction book everJul 06, 2008 I am a beginner golfer. The book is very helpful. I checked out many different golf books, but this is the far better golf book with a lof of pictures. The pictures explain far better than expainning with a lof of words for beginners.
